Mr. Riccardo Calandrelli serves as a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at Athos Therapeutics, Inc., where he develops and applies computational methodologies for large-scale autoimmune multi-omics data analysis and integration, and collaborates closely with software designers and engineers to optimize the Athos computational platform. Prior to joining Athos, Riccardo served as a Bioinformatics Programmer at the Institute of Engineering in Medicine at UCSD. In this role, he developed computational methods for 3D genome structure analyses in the context of Alzheimer’s disease and vascular endothelial inflammation in diabetes. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pisa.
